Why doesn’t innovation come naturally to large organizations? Often times, the skills required to successfully scale a business – i.e. standardization, consistency, repeatability – are the very same behaviors that inhibit innovation. This can result in an internal conflict within the organization when they do decide it is time to pivot and innovate.
